The EG series is a star product series of IOTRouter – Edge Computing Gateway, which is loved by IoT application users all over the world. EG Edge Computing Gateway is characterized by rich hardware interfaces, drag-and-drop programming, a zero-code design concept, and convenient remote management. It can quickly, flexibly, accurately, and efficiently respond to the needs of various IoT industries.

EG series products abstract complex hardware interfaces and different industrial network protocols into a single node. Users can flexibly use these nodes to drag, connect the way, instead of the traditional complex and inefficient coding process. As we all know, the network architecture of IoT can be divided into 4 layers including: cloud platform layer, network layer, edge computing layer and sensing layer. The EG gateway is an important device in the edge computing layer. Upwards, EG gateway can cope with different applications of different cloud platforms. Downward, EG gateway can be compatible with different sensors and protocols of different applications in the sensing layer.

All gateways of the EG series are highly consistent in their usage. The difference between different models is mainly reflected in the hardware interface, and the corresponding difference is only the presence or absence of certain nodes. Therefore, this series of documents applies to all models of the EG series, unless otherwise stated.

Important Note

EG series gateway, the hardware operating system is Ubuntu, and the software is mainly 3 web services. Take the gateway IP as 192.168.88.1 as an example, the relationship is as follows:

a. Browser input: http://192.168.88.1:80 to access the device management page, which is mainly used for querying the device’s operation status, networking configuration, firewall settings, firmware upgrades and other functions.

b. Browser input: http://192.168.88.1:1880 to access the Drag & Drop Programming page, which is also the main function implementation interface of the gateway, used to realize PLC data acquisition, CNC data acquisition, various sensor data acquisition, logic processing, conditional triggering, data format conversion, docking platform and other functions. Conversion, data formatting, and platform interfacing.

c. Browser input: http://192.168.88.1:1881 to access the local configuration page, currently only EG8200Pro and EV8010 support local configuration function.
